Colonial on the Green

Reconstructing this traditional center-hall Colonial required a delicate balance between historical character and modern sensibilities.

A series of smaller rooms were combined and an unused back stair removed to create a large, open kitchen, dining, and family room. A new side entry — leading to a mudroom and powder room — was carved out of underutilized garage space. At the front, a new entry portico brings proper scale and proportion to the façade, enhancing curb appeal while honoring the home's Colonial heritage.
